Free Virtual CLE – Mortgage Foreclosure: Representing a Homeowner in Settlement Conferences

Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York is offering a virtual training on representing homeowners at foreclosure settlement conferences. Attorneys will learn how to help a homeowner prepare a pro se response and provide limited representation at a settlement conference. There will be comments by Fourth Judicial District referees, as well as an overview of foreclosure law.

This is a FREE training for:

• Attorneys who are admitted to practice in New York State and who commit to providing pro bono assistance to homeowners at two (2) foreclosure settlement conferences.
• Legal services and public interest attorneys
• Law students
• LASNNY PAI (pro bono) volunteers
• Court Personnel

If you do not fall into one of the above – the registration fee = $90

 

CLE Credits:

• 2.0 hrs of Skills
• 0.5 hrs of Ethics

This course is appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys.
